An hour before midnight on Saturday, Nov. 7, the energy in The Loft on York had reached a tipping point. Los Angeles hip-hop group Warm Brew had worked the crowd up with a spirited half-hour set, the audience had swelled to near sardine conditions and the room was abuzz with excitement.
